Help Inge Fight for His Life: Support Critical Cancer Treatment
My husband, Inge Kristian Kristiansen, had a mole removed from his neck in the early 2000s—long before we met. Along with the mole, doctors removed several lymph nodes. Unfortunately, in 2017, cancer cells resurfaced in the same area where the mole once was, forming a tumor on Inge’s neck.
That summer, Inge underwent the first of many surgeries. A year later, in 2018, we received the devastating news that the cancer had spread to other parts of his body. Inge began immunotherapy and responded well, giving us hope. Over the years, he’s had numerous surgeries to remove tumors and lymph nodes from both sides of his neck. His spleen and gallbladder were also removed, and he endured radiation therapy to his lungs. Despite these treatments, Inge maintained a good quality of life thanks to immunotherapy, which worked effectively until late 2023.
However, things took a turn. Radiation damage to his lungs caused chronic pneumonia, and he even suffered blood clots, worsening his condition drastically.
By Easter of 2024, it became clear that immunotherapy was no longer as effective. A large cancerous cyst had developed in Inge’s stomach and continues to grow. He’s been on BRAF/Mek medication for six months, hoping to shrink the tumor enough for surgery. Sadly, the most recent PET scan in August 2024 revealed that the tumor has grown, and surgery is now considered too dangerous.
Now, we’re pursuing TIL (Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocyte) therapy abroad at the renowned Sheba Medical Center in Israel. TIL is a cutting-edge form of immunotherapy that offers Inge the best chance for survival. Both his oncologist and specialists in Oslo believe this is his most viable option. We’ve already been in contact with the Sheba Medical Center and submitted all the necessary medical records, PET scans, and blood work.
However, the cost for just one round of TIL therapy is estimated at €150,000–200,000.
Inge is only 47 years old. He’s a loving father to two daughters, aged 27 and 16, and has a large family that cherishes him. We live in Sandnes, Norway, and we refuse to let cancer win this fight. We’re determined to give Inge every possible chance to beat this disease once and for all.
Please help us raise the funds needed for this life-saving treatment. Any contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to giving Inge a fighting chance.
Please help us spread the word and share this campaign so we can reach a wider audience. Thank you for your love and support.
