Infinity Tech Robotics has made history by becoming the first Plymouth-Canton Community School District middle school team to earn advancement to the World Championship. This honor is only for the top 336 teams out of 15,000+ teams across the world. The World Championship takes place in Houston, Texas, from April 29th through May 2nd, 2026, and we need your help getting there.
At our qualifiers, we earned 1st Place Alliance (robot performance) and 1st Place Inspire Award (presentation and portfolio of overall team), which advanced us to the State Competition. We won the Finalist Alliance and 3rd place Inspire Award at the State Competition, which earned us advancement to the World Competition. Our robot, Ball-e, was built by 15 dedicated students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, and now faces the challenge of competing against high school teams from around the world. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our team to learn, grow, and represent our community on a global stage.
In addition to our core robotics work, Infinity Tech is determined to make an impact in our community. After the COVID-19 pandemic, we were one of the few teams left out of 12 FTC teams that had previously represented the Plymouth-Canton community. As a veteran team, we decided to help start up new robotics teams in our district to introduce more kids to these STEAM opportunities. Between 2022 and 2025, we formed and mentored 8 FTC, 3 FLL Challenge teams, and 6 FLL Explore teams, and we are in the process of starting even more for future seasons. We also collaborate with our high school team, Lightning Robotics, to organize workshops for 5th graders, helping incoming middle-schoolers discover robotics. Every September, Infinity Tech hosts one of the 12 official FTC kickoff events to launch the competition season. These efforts help the Plymouth-Canton school district thrive in robotics, giving kids the skills they need for the future.
Giving back is important to us. We volunteer at food banks, school cleanups, and can drives, and our goal this year is to reach 500 hours of community service to show our support for the district. Our team needs funds to keep competing, organize workshops, and continue our outreach. Donations will help us buy sensors, motors, materials, and technology to build and program our robot, as well as support team operations and merchandise. With your donation, Infinity Tech Robotics will be able to keep inspiring kids to join robotics, learn about engineering and technology, and give back to our community. We can’t do it without the help of our community!
