As if 2020 wasn’t hard enough, my sister Inez Crowe’s ovarian cancer has returned and is currently doing intensive chemotherapy treatment. These treatments have been harder on her this time around. Getting news that the cancer has returned, not only carries an overwhelming emotional burden for both Inez and John, but a big financial burden as well.
My sister has always been so full of life. She’s spent most of her life helping others. She is a native of Windsor, CO.
She retired from Kodak as a production technician after 25 years. After retirement from Kodak, they moved to Chadron, NE where she found her calling working for Family Rescue Services for 9 years where she diligently and wholeheartedly worked with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Inez worked as a Counselor for Native American women from Nebraska and South Dakota who were in domestic violence relationships. She ended her long career of giving to others as the Program Director for Chadron’s Senior Center.
There are a lot of uncertainties ahead, but both John and Inez remain strong in their marriage, and in their faith; however, they do have an enormously heavy weight emotionally, and financially as well. All contributions are greatly appreciated and will help to alleviate any financial burdens during this devastating time. Money will mostly go towards the very expensive treatments and medicines that are not completely covered by insurance. Currently she needs shots to help bolster her immune system, and this treatment has been denied by her insurance.
There is no donation too small. If you are unable to donate, please continue to share our story and send prayers her way.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Love,
Lou Apodaca Montoya
