Staying in the Heart | An Online Celebration of Life
A fundraiser & online concert experience for Indigenous communities & artists in need
◅◅◅⫷ ♥ ⫸▻▻▻
◅ Help us raise $10,000 for indigenous communities & artists in need by joining us in sacred celebration of the Earth, its peoples, and the radiance of our one shared Heart.
◅ What and who are we raising funds for?
- We are coordinating an online, immersive, technologically revolutionary, community building container on May 2nd, 2020. This is our 2nd run with the platform - and many people have shared that it was the most connected that they had felt during the entire pandemic. We will be featuring a Main Stage, interactive chatrooms, live painters & oracle readers, 1:1 video networking capabilities, experiential learning, interactive dance-floors, vendor booths and surprises in store!

- 50% of all donations will be going to support two vital causes for indigenous people's:
1. Helping indigenous Mayan locals from Lake Atitlan, Guatemala with basic food and medical needs in relationship to COVID-19.
- It is a difficult time for many in our global community.... but more so for indigenous families who do not have savings or income to survive this global economic crisis caused by the Covid-19.
- The suspension of local business, employment, tourism and transportation is especially felt in an isolated village like San Marcos (where our headliner, Mose, is based out of) where families live on a more day to day basis with few reserves to sustain their households. Many homes have zero refrigeration. Currently, access to food staples are increasingly difficult. It is equally as important to everyone’s health that through this time, all people in our shared community have essential access to basic resources.
- Our goal is to provide staple foods, rice, corn, beans, eggs, and salt to as many local families as possible. Initially we will coordinate delivery of these goods to the elderly, single mothers and those without employment. As more funds are raised we will be able to increase our outreach as well as provide medicine to those in need.
2. Supporting the youth of the Oregon Burns Paiute Tribe & Warm Springs Confederated Tribes to receive mentorship from natural resources professionals and gain a deep connection to the tribal lands that make up their ancestral homeland through restoring native ecology.
- We at Lost Valley Education Center have been growing plants, through the Native Foods Nursery, to offer support to this program. We believe that is it important to remember... even in a pandemic... to give back to our future generations. We value the education that is being offered to the tribal youth, as well as the ecological restoration practices that are taking place, and are honored to support the "Tribal Stewards" program.

◅ The remaining 50% of all ticket sales, donations and sponsorships will go towards supporting our host center, creative artists & organizers.
◅ These artists & organizers are putting immense amounts of time into this special experience and offering their art at drastically lower costs than usual. These artists are without work and many of which are in need in these times. Please support our curators, organizers, musicians & designers in this incredible community container that we are creating together.
