Help Indie Secure Her Family's Future

Well, hey there, y’all! My name is Emily, but most everyone knows me as Indie. Over the past four years, I’ve had the opportunity to create content and friendships with thousands of amazing folks across TikTok and Instagram. So many of you have sent help for my foster kittens when I’ve asked, but I’ve never asked for anything for myself before…until now.

Though we’ve been divorced for four years, my ex-husband and I have continued to live in the same house with our wonderful daughter, Clara (f15). We remained close friends and co-parented together, sharing meals and holidays so that our family would remain together. All this came to an abrupt end on Monday, June 17th, when a fully-loaded coal truck pulled out into the road in front of the Red Bull truck he was driving. He was killed on impact.

We are all devastated at his loss, but the reality of life mercilessly marches on. I find myself a single mother in truth now and the future of our home is uncertain since the deed was in my ex-husband’s name.
