Help Indie Filmmaker Replace Broken MacBook & Stay Afloat

Hi, I’m Blake Worrell, a passionate filmmaker, actor, music composer, and sound designer based in Los Angeles.

Over the last few weeks, I poured everything I had into completing a short film I deeply believed in. I funded it out of pocket, including what I had set aside for rent, because I knew this project could be a turning point in my career. The short is done, and I’m proud of what we created. But now I’ve hit a wall.

My 2019 MacBook’s screen is broken, and I’ve been DIY-hacking it just to keep working with an external monitor. But the truth is, this machine can no longer handle the editing, sound design, and color work I need to do as a filmmaker. It’s slowing me down and putting the brakes on the creative momentum I just built.

Filmmaking is my life.

I’ve spent 20+ years honing my craft directing, acting, editing, and performing music around the world. I’ve won awards, gotten millions of views on past projects, and recently this short that I believe has serious festival potential. But I can’t finish the sound or color properly without a working machine.
