Indiana Bones is our sweet, sassy, and fun-loving 5-year-old corgi who has brought endless joy to our lives since we welcomed him into our family at 7 months old. He just celebrated his birthday on December 8th with a special trip and a pup cup from Starbucks, surrounded by love from both of us. Indy has always been happiest on walks, exploring the world with his nose to the ground, and making friends with every dog in our shared yard—especially his best friend, Betty. Last summer, we added a little brother to the family, Obi Wan Pawnobi, and Indy quickly became the best big brother, teaching him the ropes and sharing his favorite spots in the yard.
Just a few days ago, we noticed Indy was in pain when we picked him up. After a vet visit, we were told it might be arthritis, but within 24 hours, he lost mobility in his hind legs and by this morning, he was completely paraplegic. Despite everything, Indy’s spirit hasn’t changed—he’s still the loving, happy boy we adore, now with the help of pain medication. The suddenness of his decline has been heartbreaking, and we’re doing everything we can to get him the care he needs. The costs for diagnostic imaging, hospital stays, and surgery are overwhelming, on top of what we’ve already spent this week.
Indy’s favorite thing in the world is going for walks, and it breaks our hearts to see him unable to do what he loves most. The funds raised will go directly toward his hospital stay, seeing a neurologist, pain medications, and, if needed, surgery. If Indy can walk again, it would mean the world to us—we would be forever grateful for the chance to walk with our baby again. We’re reaching out to our community for help, hoping to give Indy the best chance at a happy, healthy life. Any support, no matter the amount, means everything to us and to Indy. Thank you for reading and for caring about our sweet boy.
