Help in getting medical equipment in Vijayawada

We are all witnessing what is happening in India with a great sense of worry and horror.
A second wave of the pandemic hit our motherland with such ferocity the likes of which we have not witnessed in our lifetime. Demand on health services is so huge that local health services both private and government services are crumbling under pressure.
Most people are in a state of shock & disbelief.
The scale of the problem is huge but we think it is time for us to act in any way we can to support our people.
A group of Telugu doctors in the UK met this morning and established what urgent help that we can provide in the current circumstances.
We analysed a few options and confirmed that the current need is shortage of oxygen and that perhaps can be best delivered by procuring oxygen concentrators. There is also a need for getting quality PPE to the frontline staff in the government hospital. We also realise there is a big role in public education about Covid especially what steps to take when they are tested positive before they rush to hospital in panic.
We have established some local voluntary partners (Isolation Centre of MB Vignana Kendram Trust ,Vijayawada) who are doing a good job within their means of supporting poor people.
Immediate priority is to procure oxygen concentrators and deliver them in Vijayawada.
