Help Independent NYU Student Overcome Financial Crisis.
Donation protected
Please help me with this monetary crisis. My name is Jo. I attend New York University (NYU) and did not receive any financial aid for the summer semester. Therefore, this is an out-of-pocket expense which is over $3,000. I am a full-time student, participate in various auxiliaries, and work full-time to support myself. I have no contact with either parent or have not for years. I have been working since high school to support myself. I must pay this balance off by or before the end of July before the fall term begins or I am at risk of being de-enrolled from NYU.
Due to this expense, I am unable to support my basic needs. Any extra funds will go towards basic needs, food, personal needs, school supplies, graduation fees, and events that are a part of the class and this stay.
I had challenges as a teenager, such as homelessness and loss of family members, but continued to survive and thrive. When I wanted to give up, Outreach (an organization that helps homeless youth and young adults) and other supporters were there to encourage me and give me the hope to press on daily. As a result of never giving up despite the struggles, I earned a full scholarship to NYU. I was also the Senior Class President in 2023. I never imagined attending my dream school at NYU. Having great support from external people and working hard has helped me attain my dreams.
Please consider assisting me so that I can pay off my housing responsibility, graduate from NYU, and prepare for graduate school.
