TJ (our brother) was diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis in his early 30's. Which should have been the prime of his life ( He's now in his early 40's). This was a time when his 2 children were still young and still living at home with him. Since then, they have grown up and moved out. He's now at home alone with his sister who also doubles as his care taker. His main joy is when someone comes to visit him. (especially his children, Amanda and Daniel) Let's face it, 2020 has been hell for everyone! Just imagine how you all felt when you were stuck at home in Quarantine and add that times 10 years. TJ would love to get out of lock down and enjoy what time he has left in his life. You can help him with this by donating any amount towards his freedom!
TJ will give the shirt off his back to help out friends or his children. There is NEVER a time when TJ does not have a smile on his face. Even when facing the decline in his health and capabilities, he's got a smile for anyone that has taken the time to come and visit him.
His finances are provided by social security benefits only, Therefore, his options are extremely limited on items he can afford to help improve his quality of life. His funds barely cover his necessities and home health care.
What we know would bring him the highest quality of life and joy for TJ at this time is a van that he can be transported in, safely. Without a vehicle that is wheelchair friendly, he basically is laying in the house 24/7. We pray for nice days where we can at least take him for a walk around the neighborhood in his wheelchair.
Thank you to all that have taken the time to read and share this or have offered any amount to give so that TJ can have some sense of dignity and freedom back in his life!
