This year has tested me in ways I never imagined.

Earlier, I had to undergo surgery - weeks of recovery, medical bills, and fear. Then, before I could fully stand on my feet, devastating floods swept through our area. Overnight, our home and community were turned upside down.

Through it all, my family and I have been working hard to put the pieces back together. I kept telling myself, “It’s okay, you’ve planned for your wedding, you’ll make it happen.” We had carefully budgeted and saved for years. But after these major crises, we had to cut down on many wedding expenses just to cover urgent needs.

Now, with the wedding date approaching, I’m facing a shortfall I never expected.

This isn’t just any event for me. It’s a milestone I’ve dreamed of for years. I’ve worked and saved for years to make it happen but after the unexpected blows this year, I’m short of what’s needed to make this day possible.
