It is with great sadness that I post this message. Mike is in the intensive care unit (ICU) dealing with very serious heart and kidney issues. Today has marked his 7th day in the ICU and we do not know when he will be released. While Mike has medical insurance, it will not cover the full costs of his stay nor his recovery. Further, our household income comes from Mike’s disability and the money I make from my job. However, I have depleted my paid time-off from work and have had to forego income to be there for him as well as to take on Mike’s daily duties with our children. Many of you have called, texted, and/or inboxed me asking how you can help and if there was anything we need. We are asking for donations towards not only medical costs, but also for food, gas, and regular household expenses. We appreciate anything you can give in our time of need. Mike, the kids, and I thank you very much from the bottom of our hearts.
