Help in the wake of the loss Baby Shakira
Donation protected
On the 12th of January, my little sister was subject to the unbearable task of birthing her very first, beautiful baby girl Shakira, stillborn at 39+5 wks. This loss was entirely unexpected. Brianna was in early labour for 3 days prior to this tragic event, we all spent these 3 days, excitedly timing contractions, enthusiastically awaiting the arrival of our new family member. Brianna had an easy pregnancy, with no known complications, a CTG scan the only day prior showed a normal heart rate and she was sent home to continue labouring. On return to the hospital only 24 hours later, with the expectation of finally getting to meet her beautiful healthy baby girl in the hours following, she was instead told no heart beat could be found.
There are no words to describe what a parent feels when they loose a child. Brianna and Kadine are shattered to the core and have an unbearable amount of grief to carry and heartbreak to endure for a long time to come, as they navigate through this loss and how to carry on without the baby they’ve been preparing for, for the last 9 months.
I am creating this fundraiser to ask family, friends and fellow parents far and wide to dig deep to help support Brianna and Kadine through this horrifically difficult time.
Your contribution will go towards the cost of cremation and a beautiful service for our angel baby. Anything beyond that will be used to simply make life as easy as possible for as long as possible.
I have seen the amazing messages of sympathy and support and offers of help left for Brianna and Kadine when they announced their heartbreaking news which gives me hope that those that know them will make this fundraiser a success. Any contribution you can make at this time will help immensely. No donation is too small, every single dollar is a dollar they didn’t have before. If you have the means to donate, large or small, please please do, and help me to help my family through this awful tragedy.
