Help in Sight for Gordie

Hello out there, all you lovers of furry creatures! This is Gordie. She is the companion and kindred spirit to our cherished friend, songstress and wine provocateur Karin Couch. Those of you who have met these two know indeed how wonderful they both are. Both happy girls. Both fiercely protective. Gordie quick to bark at persons coming up the walk...yet as soon as she knows you pass the muster, she’ll headbutt you for pets and doesn’t want you to stop. And frankly, who wants to with that coat and those crazy soft ears? Those ears were the hook for Karin, who found her on a Collie rescue sight and knew she was the one. 

I could go on, clearly, but let me get to the point of the Go Fund Me. Sadly, this sweet girl has Glaucoma in her right eye. This has left her blind in that eye. Because of the diseases progression, she is to undergo surgery to have her eye removed. So scary. And so heartbreaking for Karin.  Add to that, Gordie has developed a cyst on her left eye and said cyst is to be removed and biopsied. Again, it’s just heart-wrenching. The surgery is set for Wednesday, January 6 and dear Karin has been sleeping (a bit) near her beloved girl whom she knows is in pain.

We all know how costly veterinary surgery is. And we all can appreciate how challenging this past year has been. I want to help  and am reaching out to you to ask if you can as well. Any amount is so greatly appreciated. Truly any amount. I know times are tough. Fortunately 2020 is in the rear view and these two deserve a hopeful and healthy start!
