Introduction:

Hi everyone and thank you for this moment of your time.

My name is Nick Stark and I'm helping raise funds for my fiance Hailey Nichols (or as many of you might recognize her, Ms. Nichols). She is a greatly talented music teacher beloved by her many students.

Hailey’s Story:

In November of 2024 coming home from work Hailey was in a terrible auto accident and we are grateful she came through it alive. She suffered multiple broken bones in her ribs and ankle along with severe bruises across her body. Hailey was on her road to recovery determined to return to her classroom and pupils in January. That was, until December, when she experienced her first grand mal seizure (and was briefly re-admitted to Baptist Hospital).

Sadly, since Hailey’s first grand mal in December of 2024 she hasn’t gone a single day without a seizure, more often experiencing up to 7 seizures a day. At her wits end from multiple unsuccessful treatment plans, we sought and found a treatment opportunity at Duke Neuroscience Center in Durham.

Thanks to the generosity and support of everyone, we raised just enough in our initial launch to get Hailey into Duke Neuroscience back in June of 2025.

Since then Hailey has received ongoing treatment and is working towards her recovery goals, unfortunately her seizures persist and are resistant to medical intervention.

This is where I and Hailey's family are asking for any amount of help possible.

All funds raised will go to help cover Hailey’s already substantial medical bills, beyond what insurance will cover, as well as to help cover the costs of her ongoing treatment.
