Help improve Ryan’s quality of life
Donation protected
The purpose of this new gofundme is to improve my quality of life and to get my body moving like it used to. My first two financial priorities for this fundraiser are to keep going to Pushing Boundaries and to continue living in my super accessible apartment. I’ve been able to use some amazing technology at Pushing Boundaries, but each hour session is $100. I try and go two days a week, but it adds up quick. My apartment is the most accessible unit I’ve seen in Seattle, but my rent is 2x what it I was paying before my accident.
Additionally, I’m going to use some of this money for recreational and therapeutic equipment that is sold at a medical price (which is absurdly high). The list includes a Functional Electric Stimulation (FES) bike, a power assist mountain bike/mobility device, a free wheel (wheelchair attachment for off roaring), a new wheelchair cushion, potentially a sports wheelchair as well as a CrossFit membership and mono ski lessons for this upcoming winter. My left foot and leg are coming back thanks to the technology and training I’ve done this far. It started in my big toe, then the rest of my toes, then my whole foot, and occasionally my quad. I wanna keep my training going strong so that I can regain as much movement back as humanly possible!
If you would rather donate directly to me, my Venmo is ryanbarbee99 or you can reach out via text/DM. Thank you all for your kind words and support!
