Our beautiful sister Immi has just received a devastating diagnosis: Stage 3 Cervical Cancer. Now, she’s facing the toughest challenge of her life — and we are rallying around her with love, purpose, and determination.

To support her, I just ran the Gold Coast Marathon in her honour, making every step count to raise awareness for this life-saving cause. Our incredible mother has also just walked the legendary Camino Trail in Spain — proving that with strength and determination, anything is possible.

For months, Immi believed she was simply going through perimenopause. She experienced exhaustion, pain, heavy bleeding, and other symptoms — all of which were repeatedly dismissed or misdiagnosed. Like so many women, she was told, “This is just part of getting older.”

But it wasn’t…

All the while, a tumour was silently growing inside her. The symptoms worsened — leading to terrifying episodes of blood loss and an emergency ER visit that pushed for deeper testing. And that’s when we got the devastating news: Stage 3 Cervical Cancer.

This diagnosis turned my sister’s world upside down. She now faces urgent and aggressive treatment: chemotherapy, radiation, and painful surgeries. The road ahead is long, painful, and incredibly expensive — physically, emotionally, and financially.

Immi is the kind of person who lifts others up without hesitation. She’s a devoted sister, a loyal friend, and the one who always shows up when someone else is hurting. Now, she needs us to show up for her.
