Help Iman and her Family Escape the Terror in Gaza

Hello, my name is Ray Kang from the U.S. In my feeble attempts at providing reparations for the Palestinian people, I have set up this fundraiser to help my friend's family in Gaza.

Their words follow (lightly edited for clarity):

Dear friends and compassionate supporters, My name is Iman. I live in Gaza City.

My family and I have been under siege many times. We have escaped death many times. I had to flee from Nuseirat to Deir al-Balah on foot due to the intensity of the shelling and rockets.

I come to you today with a heavy heart and I ask for your help to save me and my family. My grandmother, father, mother, cousins and their children. We are currently trapped in Gaza, specifically in Nuseirat, a place torn apart by conflict and suffering. We face unimaginable hardship and danger on a daily basis, and I fear for my life and the lives of my family as the violence and instability around me continues to escalate.

The situation in Gaza has become increasingly dangerous, with ongoing conflict, economic instability and limited access to basic necessities. My extended family and I have been struck by tragedy. We have been displaced from one place to another five times due to nearby explosions, each time moving in search of a safe place.

But there is no safe place in Gaza. They claim that there are some safe places, but they are lying, and the continuous bombing continues to threaten our lives, causing hunger, collective trauma and disease. My house has been bombed several times until it was completely destroyed. Please stand by me in these difficult circumstances.

Now winter has come and my baby daughter needs basic necessities of life: clothes, milk, diapers and clean water. We desperately need you. Don't leave us alone. My husband lost his job. He used to work in a dairy factory, but the factory was bombed and my husband became unemployed. Now I ask you to help me get out to Egypt as soon as possible. And support me to get the necessities of life.
