Help Imad (5) Fight Against Aggressive Leukemia

My name is Ghaith Kabbani, and I have created this GoFundMe campaign to help Imad Chehime, a sweet and energetic 5-year-old boy from Lebanon, in his fight against acute leukemia (blood cancer). On October 9, 2024, Imad received the heartbreaking diagnosis of a very aggressive form of leukemia, caused by a rare t(4;11) MLL-AF4 translocation. This makes his disease extremely difficult to treat. Despite this tough diagnosis, Imad is a true fighter. He has already started chemotherapy and has responded well, but due to the high-risk nature of his condition, he needs an intensive, multi-year treatment plan to survive. Why Imad Needs Our Help Imad lives in Lebanon, where the ongoing economic crisis has left families without access to essential medical care. His treatment is estimated to cost $135,000 over three years, and unfortunately, no NGOs are able to cover these high costs. • Year 1: Intensive chemotherapy (induction, consolidation, reinduction) – $65,000 • Years 2 & 3: Maintenance therapy to prevent relapse – $35,000 per year Without this treatment, Imad’s chances of survival are very low.
