Help Ilze go to International Thespian Festival

Thespian is an international honor society for theater students.  Ilze is President of our school’s Thespian troupe and they throw school and community events and collaborate with other school groups like ASB.  They also have the opportunity to compete each year in a variety of categories, from acting and musical theater to costume design and playwriting. 

Ilze has qualified to compete at the national level at ITF (International Thespian Festival) in Indiana this summer, based on her Superior rating on her competition piece at NW Regionals in January. (You can see her submission here: http://tinyurl.com/yf675m5c)

As you may or may not know, our family has fallen on some hard times recently, and although we are committed to giving her every opportunity, this will be a financial challenge for us as we need to cover food/lodging/airfare for two (a chaperone is required) as well as passes to the week-long event.

We are reaching out to our community in the hopes that we can raise part or all of the cost of the trip. Ilze will also be doing a sale of some of her art prints, if anyone is interested in purchasing artwork instead of donating.
