Help Ilia recover his savings for college!

If you know Ilia Mikailli personally, you know he is a fantastic young adult with the best personality and brightest future! For those of us who know him, we see his passion for life and learning and his positivity and resilience with whatever obstacle comes his way. He has always amazed us with his grit and determination and his work ethic as well as his constant positivity in life. Ilia has never met a stranger, is always eager to lend a hand, and is one of the most hardworking people on the planet. Many of us have followed Ilia over the past four years and have watched him gracefully balance his responsibilities of working a full time job and attending high school full time while also being the main financial supporter for his family. During this time, he had proudly accumulated an impressive amount of savings, over $10,000. Due to a family emergency- that is completely out of his control-Ilia, with his kind heart, has completely depleted his college savings and living expenses that he has been working on for the past several years. We would like to build those savings back up.

 

Ilia came to America from Iran during middle school with his dad, brother, and grandparents. Ilia is an amazing high school student that has captured the heart of everyone he meets. Ilia has maintained a 4.0 average while also working full time over the past two years to support his family. His goal has always been to go to college. Others see his potential as well, as he is currently waitlisted at both Duke and Harvard. Ilia is destined for great things and he needs some assistance from us.

 

For those of us that know and admire Ilia, it is so frustrating to see someone do everything right, completely everything, to reach his future goals, then fall short. Not only that, but he has the ability to continue on at school and create a bright future for himself and others. A lack of resources or circumstances out of our control should not hold anyone back. Ilia has put in the work, can we help him? All of the funds raised on his behalf will be used towards Ilia’s tuition and school-related expenses. He graduates this January 2022 from Apex Friendship High School in Apex, NC, and is working two full time jobs to save money before attending college in the fall.
