Help Ileidi's Family in Crisis - Ayuda la familia de Ileidi

Hello everyone, a couple of days before going to the hospital on July 14, 2025. My little sister Ileidi had a really bad fever and a runny nose. We gave her over the counter medicine but we saw no progression in her health. We decided to take her to the hospital. Due to Santa Maria’s hospital being busy, we decided to drive to San Luis Obispo where we believed they would assist her faster. Unfortunately, when we got there, we received the news that my little sister is in terrible condition. The doctors let us know that her body lacked oxygen. That night the hospital transported her from San Luis Obispo to Santa Barbara. She is currently unable to breathe and is being given oxygen support. My parents left their work to care for my sister. We are facing much barriers since my parents do not speak Spanish nor English, they only speak mixteco. We are currently struggling to provide basic needs such as rent, food, traveling cost, and medical bills. My brother and I are the only ones working, and we fear that it is not enough. My family is currently heart broken and struggling. We ask for your support and care to carry our family during this difficult time. May god bless you all.

Hola comunidad, un par de días antes de ir al hospital el 14 de julio de 2025. Mi hermanita Ileidi tenía mucha fiebre y goteo nasal. Le dimos medicamentos pero no vimos ninguna progresión en su salud. Decidimos llevarla al hospital. Como el hospital de Santa María estaba muy ocupado, decidimos ir a San Luis Obispo, donde creíamos que la atenderían más rápido. Tristemente, cuando llegamos allí, recibimos la noticia de que mi hermana pequeña se encontraba en un estado terrible. Los médicos nos hicieron saber que su cuerpo le faltaba oxígeno. Esa noche el hospital la trasladó de San Luis Obispo a Santa Bárbara. Actualmente no puede respirar y está recibiendo oxígeno. Mis padres dejaron su trabajo para cuidar de mi hermana. Nos enfrentamos a muchas barreras ya que mis padres no hablan español ni inglés, sólo hablan mixteco. Actualmente estamos luchando para cubrir las necesidades básicas como la renta, la comida, el gas y costos médicas. Mi hermano y yo somos los únicos que trabajamos y no es suficiente. Mi familia tiene el corazón roto y está luchando. Pedimos su apoyo y atención para apoyar a nuestra familia en estos momentos difíciles. Que Dios los bendiga a todos. Gracias
