My name is Ilea. I am a single mom of two boys. My youngest will be 10 and my oldest is 17. I am currently employed, working as a CCMA, but even working in the medical field doesn't provide enough income to afford the cost of living in today's economy.

I do not get any financial assistance from my boys' fathers, and according to the income guidelines, I make too much money to get food stamps or other state assistance. I am currently in a trailer that needs way more repair and work than I can afford. The living conditions (mold, rust/bacteria/arsenic-filled water, cigarette and wood stove smoke damage, etc.) are causing my boys' and my health to decline. Long story short I have been told by retired contractor not worth fixing up better to replace with new trailer which I can't afford. I dont own the trailer and the owner which is my mother will not pay for needed repairs that I can not afford. For my boys and my own physical, mental and emotional health it would be better to find a better place to live.

I am trying to find a 2 or 3 bedroom apartment to move into, but the cost just to move in is about a whole month's income. I am also trying to get away from a negative abusive situation, which getting in a more positive, safe environment will help both my boys and myself grow and prosper.
