Ilana is heading to Cognitive FX  treatment center in early July, 2021 for a weeklong program under the care of experienced and highly successful practitioners in concussion recovery. Cognitive FX’s patients experience an average improvement of 75% reductions in symptoms.

Ilana needs your financial support to receive this effective treatment. The medical treatment costs are $12,000 and food, lodging and ground transportation cost $3,000.

Worsening visual impairment - impedes driving
Memory loss - lapses in word retrieval and short-term memory affect her ability to communicate
Fatigue - daily naps are needed, which impact work hours
Limited ability to write emails, talk on the phone, or do internet research means teaching on Zoom is exhausting and leaves little energy    for social connection and other quality life activities.

At 42, Ilana looks forward to having many healthy, active, vibrant years ahead. She aspires to work on critical societal issues and have the bandwidth and stamina to further her creative projects.
