Ike is my 14-year-old dog and truly a member of our family. He’s been by my side through so much, and his gentle, loving nature has made every day brighter. Ike is literally the best dog in the world, and everyone who meets him falls in love with his sweet spirit. Just two days ago, we learned that Ike has glaucoma in one of his eyes. Since then, he’s been in a lot of pain, and it’s heartbreaking to see him struggle.

The vets have told us that Ike needs surgery as soon as possible—by tomorrow—to remove the affected eye and stop the glaucoma from spreading. If he doesn’t get the surgery now, he will need a more intensive eye removal procedure, which would be much harder on him at his age. This surgery will reduce the risk of further complications by 80%, giving Ike the best chance to keep his remaining sight and live comfortably. The funds raised will go directly toward the cost of his surgery and any follow-up care he’ll need to recover.
