Ignacio’s Dream is on Pause — We Need Your Help. Ignacio suffered a devastating injury — a ruptured Achilles tendon
My 17-year-old son, Ignacio Ramirez de Martino, has one dream: to become a professional soccer player.
To support him, we took him to do tryouts in Mexico so he could pursue better opportunities in soccer. Everything was falling into place. Ignacio was training every day, earning those tryouts with professional teams, and getting closer to his dream.
But everything changed in an instant.
During a tryout with Puebla FC’s first-division team, Ignacio suffered a devastating injury — a ruptured Achilles tendon. He needed emergency surgery immediately.
At that moment, we had no medical insurance in México and no stable income. Despite this, we managed to get him into surgery right away. Thankfully, the surgery was successful.
But now we are facing a new challenge.
The cost of the surgery, hospitalization, and ongoing physical therapy (at least 3 times per week for 4–6 months) is overwhelming and far beyond what we can afford.
And his recovery depends on it.
If Ignacio receives the therapy he needs, he has a real chance to fully recover and return to the field.
Who Ignacio is
Ignacio is not only an athlete — he is an exceptional young man.
He is disciplined, kind-hearted, and deeply committed to both his education and his goals. He currently holds a 3.9 GPA (4.5 weighted) and has dedicated years of hard work, training every single day to chase his dream.
We are incredibly proud of him.
Why we are asking for help
Right now, we simply cannot carry this financial burden alone.
Your support will go directly toward:
Medical bills
Surgery costs
Physical therapy sessions
Rehabilitation needed for his recovery
Every donation — no matter the size — brings Ignacio one step closer to walking, running, and playing again.
In Ignacio’s own words:
"I am asking for your help to recover, support my family, and continue fighting for everything we’ve sacrificed for. Seeing my parents go through all of this for me is what drives me to come back stronger. Anything helps. Thank you for believing in me."
Thank you for your support, your kindness, and for being part of Ignacio’s comeback.
