Hi everyone, it's Iggy's Momma & Poppa! Since the end of December of last year, I started getting sick; it was pretty bad.
So, my first vet visit, they did x-rays of my intestines and determined that they were inflamed and the walls were thicker than she wanted them to be. I was sent home with medicine.
A few weeks later, I had my second visit with the same issues, except now I was losing weight and I wasn't very active. I still loved my walks! They wanted to conduct testing that we couldn't afford at the time. Again, I was sent home with medication. I felt good for a little bit.
Third visit, I got really sick on a Sunday, off to Urgent Care we go!! We ran all the tests needed this time except the ultrasound of my pancreas. We would have loved to, but it was an extra $600 that we did not have. All the results were within normal range. Again, I was sent home with medication and a strict bland diet.
In March (fourth visit), we went to a new vet that we really like. I was having the same symptoms and weight loss continued. We did a new panel of blood work that concentrated on my pancreas, which also showed normal function. I was sent home with steroids. I started feeling better - for a brief moment.
Between March and now into May, I have lost so much weight. Before all of this started, my weight was 9 pounds; currently, I now weigh 4.2 pounds. I eat and drink water, but I still have low activity levels, with moments of spunk!
We went to the vet again (fifth visit). They want to rule out cancer or any growths. All we could do financially was to be sent home with medication.
We really need help; we need to raise $1200 for more blood work and an ultrasound. We need answers to figure out what's really going on and my future. I fight every single day and show that I want to get better.
We would greatly appreciate anything. This is something we do not normally do or ask, but we have to try anything we can to get me better.
Thank you for reading and your donation; you have no idea how greatly we appreciate this.
