My name is Zosia, and I am a friend of Żaneta’s son. I am sharing this story because this family has gone through unimaginable loss and now needs support more than ever.

Over the past few years, life has not been kind to Żaneta. In a very short period of time, she lost people extremely close to her. A year and a half ago, her husband passed away after a short illness, and recently she also lost her brother. Just when it seemed that nothing worse could possibly happen, Żaneta received the devastating diagnosis of her daughter Iga — a moment that completely shattered her.

Żaneta’s husband, a picture of health, died suddenly, leaving the family in shock and deep trauma. Life slowly had to move forward, but it was never the same again. After the summer, Iga began 1st year of secondary school full of dreams and plans for the future — choosing her dream school, preparing for exams, studying intensively, and at the same time rehearsing and performing with her majorette group.

At some point, however, something began to feel wrong. Iga became increasingly tired and less active. After school she needed to sleep, and those short naps soon turned into sleeping through the evening and night. Medical tests were ordered, and the results were so serious that Iga was admitted to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma (nodular sclerosis type). The cancer has affected her cervical and supraclavicular lymph nodes, there is a tumor in her mediastinum, and an enlarged lymph node near her spleen.

Iga has begun the first of six planned cycles of chemotherapy and must take specialized medications. This treatment requires frequent hospital stays, travel, and rehabilitation, which has created overwhelming expenses. Żaneta’s financial resources are slowly running out.

I believe with all my heart that Iga can win this fight and return to a normal life. She has dreams ahead of her, and her mother wants nothing more than to help her fulfill them. That is why I am asking, on their behalf, for support from kind-hearted people. Every single donation makes a real difference and is deeply appreciated.
