Help Ify Bring Her Dad Home After a painful loss

Dear friends, family, and compassionate hearts,

What was meant to be a joyful time for our dear friend Ify has turned into an unimaginable tragedy.

Just weeks ago, she celebrated the incredible achievement of completing her master’s degree in Canada. Her parents, whom she hadn’t seen in over two years traveled all the way from Nigeria to share in her joy. It was a long-awaited reunion filled with hugs, laughter, and pride.

But in a heartbreaking twist, what was meant to be a time of celebration turned into unthinkable tragedy.

During their visit, Ify’s father collapsed suddenly, without any warning or prior health issues. In shock, Ify bravely performed CPR until paramedics arrived. Despite days of hospital care, he tragically passed away.

Now, her mother who made this journey across the world with her husband to celebrate their daughter, is preparing to fly back home with the body of her husband, shattered by grief. No words can describe the pain of returning to Nigeria not with memories, but with such an unbearable loss.

As a recent graduate, Ify is now facing a mountain of unexpected emergency expenses, including:

• Ambulance and hospital fees

• Mortuary and preparation costs

• The high cost of repatriating her father back to Nigeria.

This is more than any young person should ever have to bear emotionally or financially.
