Hello! My name is Iésha, I’m a single mom of a 12 year old son that lives in GA. I didn’t want to do this but I’m being asked to set this up due to a fire that happened while I was at work. I’m a Pre-K teacher , and my son is in 6th grade & attends Lanier middle school. I was at work when I received several alerts from my ring door camera. To my surprise I checked it and saw the fire fighters kicking in doors including mines. I had to leave work and rush home because I had no idea what had happened. When I finally reached my apartment I was I able to get my son off the school bus and we were told our place was one of the 6 units that were in the fire. My heart sank, I’ve worked so hard for everything we had. I have no family here in Georgia. We lost everything!!! I have no idea where to go or what to do. We have no clothes, food, essentials, beds, bedding’s, we’re literally starting our lives over. I’m not sure if we’ll have to find our own housing after all of this. We’re in a temporary unit & they haven’t stated how long is temporary or what’s next. I want to secure a roof over our head so we can start to rebuild our lives back.
