Help Idasia Get Back on Her Feet

Idasia has always loved horses. Growing up she would play toy horses with her cousin, imagining the politics of what might go on in a wild herd. She began horseback riding at a young age, dabbled in her other interests like modeling and cheerleading, but fell right back in love with the ride in the summer of 2020.

In the past year she purchased two horses, Socks and Oliver, who she loves dearly and for different reasons. Socks is her old man, her rescue horse who needed a second chance. Oliver is her project horse, a challenge meant to keep her on her toes. In spite of the challenges she has made great progress with Oliver.

However, riding horses always comes at a risk. It is a high-intensity sport and horses are still horses no matter their training.

On Saturday, August 14, Oliver got spooked and Idasia was launched over his left shoulder and into the field. As a result, she suffered a severe concussion that requires a long recovery. She is unable to drive for six months; she cannot ride horses; she cannot work.

Idasia and her family are asking for any financial support to help her get back to her normal life. In addition to her normal living expenses like groceries, rent, and boarding for her horses, she now has medical expenses. Any donation of any amount would be a blessing.

We hope to keep Idasia’s life stable and comfortable as she recovers. And we hope to get her back to the life she worked so hard to create for herself.
