Help Ian Stephens Overcome Cancer Challenges
Donation protected
Hi,
my name is Ian Stephens and late last September of 2024 I was unfortunately diagnosed with stage 3 testicular cancer that had metastasized into my stomach, lymph nodes, and spine. I received 4 rounds of chemotherapy treatment to treat the cancer that had spread between the months of September and December of 2024. In February of 2025 I had a surgical procedure done to have the affected testicle removed. Needless to say all of the time out of work and with no monthly or disability compensation financially really wiped my savings out completely. I returned to work in March of 2025 but found out not too long after through bloodwork and a scan that my tumor blood cell markers were back up and 2 lymph nodes in my stomach are still cancerous and will likely have to be removed and also potentially targeted with more chemo therapy before that can happen. So I’m looking at several thousands more in future medical debt as well as facing significant time out of work again. I’m also currently working as much as I can trying to manage cancer fatigue but my body will only allow me to do so much and I’ve been holding onto dear life in trying to do so. I love my job and having my daily routine disrupted has been the most upsetting challenge of this experience. I am currently awaiting a plan for treatment and am in a situation to where I can’t afford to take off work or lose my job and health insurance. But I cannot afford to leave work until I get treatment and am approved for a leave of absence again. I need help really bad and I’m not even going to pretend like I’m not overwhelmed by everything. Anything donated will be going towards groceries, bills, rent, and medical bills. Anything helps and I really appreciate those who do! Anything helps and God Bless!
