Help Ian Guzman Receive His Life-Saving Heart Surgery
Hi, my name is Trey, and I’m organizing this fundraiser for Ian Guzman and his family. Ian’s father is one of my subcontractors and a hardworking man who has done a tremendous amount of work alongside my company. Today, we’re asking for help to support his son.
Ian was born with a complex congenital heart condition — he has a single functional ventricle, meaning only one chamber of his heart is able to properly pump blood. In addition, his aorta and pulmonary artery are reversed, creating serious circulation challenges from birth.
Ian has already undergone two open-heart surgeries:
• Norwood Procedure (9 days old) – Surgeons stopped his heart and placed him on a heart-lung machine to reconstruct his circulation and connect the aorta and pulmonary artery.
• Glenn Procedure (3 months old) – This surgery redirected blood flow from his upper body directly to his lungs to reduce the strain on his heart.
Now, Ian is preparing for his third and most critical surgery — the Fontan Procedure — scheduled for March 11th.
The Fontan will improve blood flow and oxygen levels (which are currently only 75–80%) and create a more stable circulation system. Without this procedure, Ian faces severe oxygen deprivation, progressive heart failure, organ damage, developmental complications, and long-term decline.
This surgery is not optional — it is life-saving.
The total cost of the procedure exceeds $500,000, and while insurance covers a portion, the family is responsible for a significant deductible and out-of-pocket expenses.
We are raising $15,000 to help cover the deductible and relieve some of the financial burden during this incredibly difficult time.
Ian’s parents are focused on one thing: getting their son through surgery safely. The last thing they should have to worry about is how to pay the bills while doing it.
If you feel led to give, any amount helps. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this page.
Thank you for supporting Ian and his family. Your generosity truly makes a difference.
