Hey, I’m Ian!

After graduating high school last year, I didn’t really know what to do with my life. I worked many different jobs but didn’t seem to find the right fit. I then had the (somewhat crazy) idea to bike across the country. I’ve always been adventurous and loving of the outdoors, so this sort of made sense for me.

The Plan:

I will start in Yorktown, Virginia and take the TransAm Route through Virginia, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, & Colorado. I will then bridge off at Pueblo, Colorado and take the Western Express route through Utah & Nevada to San Fransisco. It will be over 3500 miles, 200,000ft of elevation gain, and last over 2 months.

The Budget:

$1000 for the whole trip (not including gear already purchased)

$700 for Food/$10 a day (Peanut Butter, Oats, & Beans)

$300 for Bike Repair and Misc.

While being slightly optimistic with the budget, I have full faith that I can survive with very cheap food and find help if needed.

I will be filming the entire trip and posting routinely on my socials. I appreciate everyone’s support and I hope to inspire other people to have adventures of their own.
