A harrowing experience with their contractor left Ian and Tylie's new home far less than halfway built by their deadline.
What was built was such poor workmanship that it has had to be ripped down to the bare bones and begun again.
After months of unfulfilled promises by their contractor, lies about progress, and misuse of their funds for personal debts, the Binford's now find themselves with their original funds squandered without compensation and with a tiny house that should have been completed well before Tylie's due date now needing to be built from the ground up.
Rough construction, finish work, and moving all need to happen as soon as possible as Tylie is already in her birth window and could welcome their first child into the world any day now.
At present, the tiny house is framed. It still needs materials for plumbing, electric, interior finishes (floors, drywall, doors, trim etc.), and exterior siding and roofing.
The Binfords and their family and friends are currently working six days a week in hopes of completing their home before baby Binford is born.
Due to their contractor's misuse of funds and the brevity of their timeline (the impending arrival of their little one), they are opening up to their community to ask for the financial help that they need to complete the project.
Ian and Tylie are above and beyond generous with their time, money, and energy in their community. Now, in this unexpected and vulnerable time they are in need of support.
If you know and love the Binford's, or are touched to anonymously give and be a young family's angel, please consider helping them.
Any donation, large or small, is a tremendous blessing to them at this time as Ian is taking time off of work to build their home and they are wanting to maintain their savings for postpartum time together as a new family.
Additionally, prayers enveloping them and their crew in peace, clarity, and safety on the job site are much appreciated. As well as faith for miraculous movement of time and money over these next few weeks.
All of the money raised on Go Fund Me will go directly towards purchasing building material for the next phases of the project to complete as much as possible before their baby is born.
Updates will be posted here to inform their community and generous donors of the progress made.
Thank you for helping Ian and Tylie in their tender and transformational season as they welcome their first child and step into parenthood.
