Help i45NOW Expand Phase 2

Earlier this year we launched a campaign to help us expand. Thanks for our viewers we were able to add some better cameras, better remote transmission connections and other equipment. We are hoping to meet our goal by the end of the year to finish the i45NOW channel and purchase better live streaming production equipment. We are almost where we need to be and ask our viewers to assist. As we noted our limited sponsorship dollars go to pay the salaries of our staff (with the exception of our owner who is not paid). Thanks again for your continued support. We will be ordering the thank you items listed on the campaign shortly after Jan. 1, 2020. When we launched i45NOW  in 2017 we set out to be a different kind of news and information source.

Almost two years, 91,000-plus daily followers and 1.4 million monthly viewers later, we think we have accomplished the first phase of that goal.


i45NOW was a vital lifeline for the Galveston Bay Area community during Hurricane Harvey.


We’ve provided vital daily info on major road closures and ongoing construction projects.


When tragedy struck in Santa Fe, i45NOW’s staff not only provided the most detailed coverage that day but has maintained coverage as the community continues to recover.


When weather makes news, its on i45NOW.


When traffic slows your commute i45NOW helps you find your way around. 


We’ve been there for all the great things that happen in the region.


We have the popular Texas Chronicles with Joe Perez, coverage of fun community events and feature people who are making a huge difference in our communities.


In the coming year, we will be beefing up our weather coverage by adding meteorologists to our team.


They will provide hyper-local coverage with no hype of our weather daily including critical weather updates when severe weather hits our area.


Later in the year, we plan to add traffic reporters who will provide morning and afternoon live traffic reports from our major roadways.


i45NOW will also be adding new daily features including Deborah Bly’s Hometown Stories, TJ Aulds’ U Need to Know, i45NOW Community Heroes, a cooking segment and more live coverage of community events.


And we are about a month away from launching our custom app that will allow you to get the news and information you want in any form you want including mobile, social media and even on your smart TV.


To do this i45NOW needs to buy new equipment.


Thanks to our sponsors we are able to hire our staff, but we are seeking assistance to purchase new equipment that will vastly improve how we deliver the information and news you demand.


Every day we hear from our viewers how i45NOW is an important part of their lives.


That’s why we are asking you to assist us in reaching our goal to raise $20,000 for the new cameras, scanners, live broadcast equipment, traffic monitoring equipment and the digital infrastructure to improve our ability to provide the coverage you have come to support.

If just 500 of our 91,000 followers were to donate $50 we would exceed our goal and each of the 500 would receive an i45NOW thank you item.

We have set the goal at $10,000 so we can begin the process of getting the priority equipment purchased.
