Hello friends, I am incredibly hesitant to do this, I know all of us are dealing with challenges and many are struggling financially right now. I am very independent but everyone has a tipping point, and I have met mine in the form of a double whammy of unexpected expenses. 2 weeks ago my jalopy started making a horrible noise, and I ended up dropping $1274 to fix it. Then last week, I discovered that my mother's water heater was a whopping 17 years old. That's 5 years past the point of recommended replacement. In order to avoid the catastrophe of it failing, I replaced it, as she is on a very limited income and would be unable to get it done herself.
These two sudden expenses have left me in a scary financial position, and so I turn to this forum in the hopes of receiving some relief, no matter how small. I quite literally am expecting NOTHING. I do not want anyone to feel the slightest hint of obligation. As I said, the pandemic, and now the holidays coming up have put so many people in precarious circumstances. But if you do wish to and are able to assist me with my situation, you have my eternal gratitude.
