I'm raising funds to buy a device that is has transformed by ability to walk without falling.
When I was 5 years old, I was in a head on car accident with a drunk driver. I spent the next month in a coma. When I woke up, I had to re-learn to walk and talk, and I also had major repairs on my Achilles tendons. As a result, I've always had a problem with falling. Recently, one of my falls resulted in a hip injury that put me in the hospital.
Recently, my doctor found a test medical device that miraculously has allowed me to walk without tripping and falling. As a result, I haven't had a single fall since I started testing this device.
The device is $4,000, and my insurance company will not pay for any of it because it I have not had a back surgery (its originally intended use). I want to be able to do things with my children and grandson, and being able to walk without falling is so nice.
Unless I find the money to buy the device, I'll have to send it back in April.
