My name is Rojal, a student in Canada, and I am fundraising for my brave friend Hussam, a 14-year-old boy from Gaza who has lost everything but still carries hope in his heart.

Hussam once lived in Khuza’a, a town in Khan Yunis, with his parents and three siblings: Motaz (7), Hamza (10), and baby Selene, just four months old. But when their home was bombed by Israeli airstrikes, everything was destroyed. "Everything is gone," Hussam told me. His family fled with nothing but the clothes on their backs and now lives in a flimsy tent in Bani Suheila, struggling to survive each day.

Life in the tent is unbearable. They light fires daily to cook and stay warm, breathing in toxic smoke that harms their health. Food is scarce, clean water is a luxury, and the cold nights are long. Yet, despite his own suffering, Hussam does something extraordinary—he shares whatever little he has.

When donations come in, Hussam doesn’t just feed his family—he buys food for others in his community. At just 14, he carries the weight of survival not only for his parents and siblings but also for neighbors who have nothing. His heart is bigger than the war around him.

Hussam dreams of safety, of a home where his siblings can sleep without fear, where baby Selene can grow up without knowing war. But right now, they need our help. With your support, we can provide food, clean water, medicine, and hope to Hussam’s family and others like them.

اسمي روجال، طالبة في كندا، وأجمع التبرعات لصديقي الشجاع حسام، فتى يبلغ من العمر أربعة عشر عامًا من غزة، فقد كل شيء لكنه لا يزال يحمل الأمل في قلبه.

عاش حسام في خزاعة، وهي بلدة تابعة لمحافظة خان يونس، مع والديه وثلاثة أشقاء: معتز (7 سنوات)، وحمزة (10 سنوات)، والطفلة سيلين، البالغة من العمر أربعة أشهر فقط. ولكن عندما قُصف منزلهم بغارات جوية إسرائيلية، دُمّر كل شيء. قال لي حسام: "لقد ضاع كل شيء". فرت عائلته بلا شيء سوى الملابس التي يرتدونها، ويعيشون الآن في خيمة رثة في بني سهيلة، يكافحون من أجل البقاء كل يوم.

الحياة في الخيمة لا تُطاق. يشعلون النار يوميًا للطهي والتدفئة، ويتنفسون الدخان السام. الطعام نادر، والمياه النظيفة ترف، وليالي البرد طويلة. ومع ذلك، ورغم معاناته، يفعل حسام شيئًا استثنائيًا - يُشارك ما يملكه من خيرات قليلة. عندما تصل التبرعات، لا يكتفي حسام بإطعام عائلته فحسب، بل يشتري الطعام للآخرين في مجتمعه. في الرابعة عشرة من عمره فقط، يحمل على عاتقه عبء البقاء، ليس فقط من أجل والديه وإخوته، بل أيضًا من أجل جيرانه الذين لا يملكون شيئًا.

يحلم حسام بالأمان، بمنزل ينام فيه إخوته دون خوف، حيث تكبر الطفلة سيلين دون أن تعرف الحرب. لكنهم الآن بحاجة إلى مساعدتنا. بدعمكم، يمكننا توفير الطعام والمياه النظيفة والدواء والأمل لعائلة حسام ولغيرهم.
