Help Hussain Stand Again with a Prosthetic Leg

Hi, my name is Hussain Dharsi and unfortunately, I have DVT (deep vein thrombosis), which means I have a blood clotting problem, and I have PAD (Peripheral Artery Disease), which means my arteries and veins are very narrow and weak. Together, they make a killer combination! It’s resulted in my left leg being amputated, first below the knee, which makes getting a prosthetic easier and using it easier. But unfortunately, a week after the amputation, the vascular surgeons decided that the blood flow still wasn’t right, and they had to go above the knee, which, believe me, is more painful than it sounds. It feels like being lashed by a whip that’s on fire! The phantom pain is a totally different feeling. I feel like I have a knife stabbing the foot that isn’t there anymore! Seven vascular surgeries, sepsis, two amputations, and just for good measure, a brain tumor! And all in one year! How’s your 2025 been? But the important thing is someone up there isn’t ready for me yet, so I keep coming back! I’m working hard with physiotherapy to break the swelling and strengthen what’s left of my thigh so I can get the prosthetic and stand on my own two feet again.

Unfortunately, disability takes about 10 months to a year to kick in, and Dr.'s appointments, physiotherapy, and medical equipment & medications are crazy expensive. Because of all the surgeries, I could only work 800 hours and so I fell short of the 1250 hours required to qualify for short-term disability (I’m amazed I even got to 800 hours with all that I’ve been through). And because of the current situation, I can’t work, which means 0 income. I’m cheerful and in good spirits, but I’m not going to lie, it’s been a very, very difficult year. Every penny is appreciated and there’s nothing like too small a donation, so please guys, these nights of Shaban and the upcoming Mahe Ramadhan are auspicious, and the reward for helping someone in need is more than doubled than they are on other nights. So open your hearts, wallets, and purses and please do what you can. There’s nothing like too small a donation, and at this point, every penny counts. Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you can help, awesome; if you can’t, may God bless you so much that you can help the next person in need. Thank you.
