Hi, my name is Katie and I'm from New Jersey. I have been running this GoFundMe for Hussain Al Najjar since 2024. I have used it to take your generous donations and send him money for food and shelter for his family. Hussain would like to start a business selling fruits and vegetables in order to be able to support his family and not have to rely solely on donations. Below is what he asked me to share with you:

I am Hussein from Gaza, Palestine, and I am writing to you today carrying the responsibility of an entire family on my shoulders.

I am the guardian and provider for my family of 12. Under the difficult circumstances we are living in, life and securing even the most basic daily necessities have become beyond our means. I am not seeking luxuries or anything extra; all I wish for is a stable source of income that allows me to work with dignity and provide food and basic needs for my family.

Therefore, I decided to try to start a small business selling fruits and vegetables, hoping it will be a new beginning for us and a source of livelihood we can rely on instead of having to ask for help every day. The project costs approximately $2,500, an amount beyond my means alone. Therefore, after God, I am appealing to the compassionate and generous people of Gaza.

Please don't see this amount as just a donation, but rather as an opportunity for an entire family to get back on their feet.

Every dollar, every share, every word of support can bring me closer to my dream and help me secure a better future for my family.
