Help with funeral and living expenses

Unfortunately on Sunday September 1st my husband, my partner in everything lost his battle with lung cancer. He did have life insurance but it wasn’t enough and I’m doing everything I can just to make it through the day let alone go to work.

Thank you everyone who has already donated it hasn’t gone unnoticed!

I’m swallowing my pride by doing this because I’m not one to ask for help but as most everyone I know is aware March of 2023 my husband was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. He completed his first round of chemotherapy and radiation and started his year long immunotherapy treatments. At that time I was able to continue working because my amazing employer was able to adjust my schedule to accommodate his therapy schedule and everything was going great.

we went from being told it was incurable only treatable to he actually had a shot of beating cancer. He continued his once a month immunotherapy treatments until one month he went in for his treatment but instead of getting the treatment he was told the cancer had started growing again and and it has grown to point that radiation was no longer an option and the only option was chemo and cross our fingers that it works.

On July 31st instead me taking him to get his treatment I had to rush him to the ER because he was having difficulty breathing and they ultimately admitted him to the icu at Parkland Hospital where they found blood clots in his lungs and legs. He spent 4 days there and then he was transferred to MoBap in St. Louis because they was better equipped to handle what he has going on not to mention all his specialist are based out of MoBap.

On Wednesday August 7th he was in the process of being discharged to come home but blood pressure and pulse started to go up again and his oxygen levels started to drop again so they decided to go ahead and keep him at least another night to be safe which ultimately ended up being a godsend because later that evening he ended up having a stroke.

More scans and’s tests were done and now they’ve discovered more clots. 1 in the back left side of his brain and 1 in his carotid artery.

He desperately wants to come home but he’s requiring more oxygen than what his concentrator here at home can give and of course his insurance company doesn’t want to pay for it because they know more than his Dr’s do so that’s something we’re probably going to have to pay out of pocket to rent 1 just so he can be discharged.

Because of this major setback I’ve been forced to miss work and didn’t have any pto time from all the other appointments and since my income is the main income we’re kind of running on fumes at the present time.

If you can help out that’s great if not we understand but ask to please pray!!
