Help Husband Get Urgent Knee Care

My name is Karie. My Husband has torn his meniscus and severely injured other things in his knee as well (to which we do not know the full extent yet). He currently has no insurance and is in need of an appointment with Ortho to discuss surgery and the full extent of damage to his knee. Scheduling told us it would be $350 up front at the time of scheduling to even get an appointment on the books. Then, it would be $50 up front for the initial appointment (and each appt after) due to being self pay. Currently, he is the only one working since I am off in the summer from work and do not get paid. He has been hobbling around on it for a few weeks in excruciating pain trying to continue to work. I’m asking for assistance to get the appointment scheduled and see the Ortho Physician for the initial visit to discuss surgery. I hate asking for help but I see no other way for him to meet with Ortho other than to reach out to the community for assistance. We would greatly appreciate any donation that you are able to contribute. Should we exceed the initial appt. amount, then any additional funds raised will go towards the cost of future Ortho appointment up-front fees, the surgery itself or physical therapy.
