Support Chris through Cancer

My name is Chris Hurst, I am 36 years old, I work currently as a PE and ICT teacher at a local Primary School. I have done this for 15 years.  I am always happy,outgoing and just looking for any help to allow me to improve and extend my life.  I have a young son and a big family I want to stay around for. I am a huge football fan but have been sadly burdened with supporting Oldham Athletic. I have also raised money over the years to help others for both British Heart Foundation and Make a Wish Foundation, who I used in my younger days to have a wish granted being Oldham Athletic Mascot.  Any support would be appreciated.  Medical Part below: I was born with severe congenital Heart Disease (a condition which is present at birth). My heart is on the wrong side of my body which is called dextracardia, VSD and not formed correctly, my main problem was a missing pulmonary artery.   Following 4 holding operations at the age of 12 I had corrective surgery called a TCPC (Total Caval Pulmonary Connection) Fontan procedure. Which has kept me going until now.  The downside to this operation in some cases is Liver Problems. A few weeks ago I was diagnosed with Liver Cancer.  I have now been accepted for a double transplant (heart and liver) by the Newcastle Freeman Hospital. I am attending a week of tests in Newcastle at the end of November and then will have to live in Newcastle until a suitable donor can be found.  This could take upto a year if not longer.  I would use any money which is kindly donated towards transport costs for myself and family and accommodation in Newcastle when the transplant takes place for my close friends and family. I appreciate that lots of people have pages for various reasons but any money raised will help at this difficult time. Thanks in advance to anyone who donates.
