Help Hunter Secure a Safe New Home

Hello everyone and thank you for your time and interest enough to read this. My name is Hunter and I am making the best of my life. I have been rehabilitated in the mental health treatments, and I am very happy with the stability I have earned today. There are things that are making my success very difficult.

I have lived in a transitional living mental health treatment facility for the last 3 years and my time is almost up here. There are no spots available for me to move to a long term facility/apartment. I have taken good care of my apartment, and made tremendous improvements in my mental health over the recent years. I have recently found a job I love after working countless hours at other places I was not able to excel in.

Though I have this job, and can pay my room&board/rent here, my mental health housing support workers have requested I begin turning in applications at places outside of the program.

I am comfortable with keeping my job, that is not a problem. I just purchased my first car in 8 years. I’m moving up in life. There are a few barriers. That is why I am asking for help.

I am a recovering addict, born to two addicts who are no longer with us. My extended family has no money to help me, or a place for me to stay. I am trying to save money, and I’m making headway. I am confident in my recovery.

I need to move forward in life, my apartment has many terrible memories. Many people know where I live that I wish no longer did. On top of these things, some of my neighbors still actively use the substance I was addicted to. I am fighting tooth and nail to build myself a way out of here.

With your help, I will be able to afford the deposit, first months electric, water, and possibly even rent in a new apartment. I understand that the world is expensive, and I don’t expect to have people donate but I had to give this a try. I have seen GoFundMe move mountains in people’s lives before. I would be forever thankful and grateful for your faith in me and the opportunity to start my next chapter in life!

I love my job, I love Jesus, I love my cat Yerry and I love being involved in recovery. My time here seems to be coming to an end, and I don’t know what I’m going to do. I could pay for rent somewhere else but I can’t afford the deposits for everything on my own.

Anything you can donate to help me save myself from the past that destructed my life is another breath of stress taken away from me. I am a donor myself for Feed The Children, Her Song, and I am a volunteer for the HS Blue Campaign Human Trafficking Prevention. I feel that this is a far reach here, but I prayed to God and asked him for the net goal I should set. He told me two thousand three hundred dollars.

I want to move forward in life with all of my heart, and have fully supported myself for the last three years. I have had ups and downs like we all do.
