Help Our Sweet Boy Hunter Run Again
My name is Laura, and I never imagined I’d be here, asking for help like this. But I’m doing it for someone who means the world to our family—our dog, Hunter.
Hunter is more than a pet. He’s family. He came into our lives as a rescue, but it feels more like he rescued us. He’s a Labrador mix with a heart bigger than his paws, and from the moment we met him, he filled our home with so much love and light. He’s goofy, loyal, endlessly playful—and he’s never met a stick or a tennis ball he didn’t love.
But now, all that joy has been replaced by pain.
Hunter has been diagnosed with a torn ACL. It’s a painful injury, and without surgery, it’s only going to get worse. He limps constantly, cries when he tries to stand too quickly, and can’t play with his favorite toys or chase after his furry siblings. The hardest part is watching his spirit dim—he still wants to play so badly, but his body just won’t let him.
We’re an active-duty military family, and while we’re proud to serve, we’re also on a tight budget. The cost of Hunter’s surgery is more than we can afford, even after exploring every option. And time matters—every day that passes, his pain increases, and his quality of life slips further away.
I’m reaching out now to ask for your help. If you’ve ever loved a dog, you understand the bond we have with them. They love us unconditionally. They comfort us through our hardest days. Hunter has done that for us more times than I can count. Now it’s our turn to fight for him.
Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to getting Hunter the care he needs. And even if you can’t give, sharing his story can make a huge difference.
Thank you for reading this. Thank you for seeing Hunter. And thank you—truly—for helping us give him the second chance he deserves.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Laura & Hunter
