06/06 FROM HUNTER & PHOENIX
Hey Everyone!
It's been a hard slogger!! The last few months have been CRAZY!! From training, finding practice venues, to attending camp overseas, managing school workloads, staying cold/flu-free, school/club games; not to mention physio, doctors, immunisations and daily Covid tests!!
BUT the best part is yet to come... In 3 days we will checkin for our flights to Doha, Qatar to compete in the FIBA U16 Asia Cup, placing in top 4 will see our journey continue to compete at the FIBA U17 World Cup.
However we still have a way to go and REALLY NEED YOUR help
Please donate to help us cover the cost of getting us to these events. Our funding goal is less than a third of whats required.
HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
Hunter & Phoenix are 2 of 9 children (8 boys and 1 girl) born to Phil & Loraine Trego. The family migrated to Brisbane from Porirua, Wellington, when the boys were 4 years old. After a challenging first year of school, Hunter & Phoenix (and their siblings) were homeschooled for the next 5 years before returning to traditional school at age 12.
Hunter & Phoenix attended Parkridge State Primary, Marsden State High and are currently attending St Joseph Gregory Terrace.
Hunter & Phoenix developed a love for basketball whilst watching and playing sports with their Dad and siblings. A typical weekend for the Tregos would be club and rep sports on Saturday and church on Sunday. For the first few years in Oz, club and rep games were a mixture of basketball, volleyball, rugby and rugby league. Eventually basketball became the dominant sport and training for the Tregos continued through the off season.

All donations are greatly appreciated, received with heartfelt gratitude, and will go towards the costs of the events noted above. Sponsorships are also welcome, please connect with Mum via LinkedIn.
