Hello Everyone! As many of you know, our friend Hunter was diagnosed with Stage IV BRAF+ Metastatic Melanoma back in September. This type of melanoma was caused by a genetic mutation, where his melanin cells mutated to cancer. After the diagnosis, he came home to his family and started chemotherapy. On 12/5, he found out the chemo wasn’t working as well as it should be. They scanned him and found that his lungs and esophagus were full of tumors again. He has since started radiation to help shrink these tumors, but it can take a while before it starts to work. His lungs being full of cancer have caused a lot of pain and pressure on his heart. He is currently out at Shadyside UPMC in Pittsburgh.

Hunter’s family is currently traveling back and forth to Pittsburgh to be by his side through all of this. This funding will help for travel expenses, as well as meals, rooms at the family house at the hospital so they can sleep there, and whatever else they may need. Thank you!
