Help Hunter Hickey’s Fight Against Kidney Cancer
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
We are reaching out to you today with heavy hearts and hope. Our beloved 2-year-old nephew, Hunter Hickey, has been diagnosed with kidney cancer, a battle no child should ever have to face. This week, Hunter underwent an urgent 5-hour surgery to remove his right kidney, gallbladder, and a 10-inch tumor that threatened his young life. Additionally, to prepare him for the challenging journey of chemotherapy ahead, a port was placed in his chest.
Hunter is a fighter, but he has a very long road to recovery ahead of him. His bravery is inspiring, yet the reality of what lies ahead is daunting. The medical and recovery process will be long and strenuous, not just for Hunter, but for his entire family. In these trying times, they are forced to step away from work indefinitely to focus entirely on getting Hunter healthy again. The financial strain of medical bills, ongoing care, and the loss of income is overwhelming for any family to bear alone.
This is where your support can make a world of difference. We are starting this GoFundMe to rally support for Hunter and his family during this critical time. Your generous donations will help alleviate the financial burden so they can concentrate on what's most important: Hunter’s health and recovery. Every contribution, no matter the size, will bring us closer to providing Hunter with the care and support he needs to overcome this challenge.
We also ask that you share Hunter’s story with your networks. The power of community and shared compassion can work wonders, and we believe that with your help, we can ensure Hunter’s journey is not a lonely one.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any support you can provide. Together, let’s give Hunter the strength and resources he needs to fight this battle. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us and to Hunter’s future.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Hickey Family
