Hi, my name is Cathy Gardner, Nellie Aragon’s cousin. I would like to take a moment to tell you about Nellie, before I get into why this Gofundme is necessary.
This women is incredible, and I’m going to brag on her. She puts Our Father above anything else and it has shown in her testament to her whole life’s story. She’s been through so much in life and continues to get up to whisper in the enemies ear...”I AM THE STORM..MOVE OUT OF MY WAY!” <~~. She’s the appitamy of that saying!
She is the type where when she wakes up the enemy says, “OH NO, SHE’S AWAKE!!” She is a God fearing women and would do anything for Our Father. She handles everything with ease and confidence, but sometimes you can no longer bare the brunt of all life’s challenges that are being thrown your way.
She has an amazing husband, Mathew Aragon, who is her rock and also leads his family to our precious Lord. They have three adorable boys, Tripp, Zac and Hunter.
Currently, Hunter (age 6)is being closely watched by doctors because he is having seizures DAILY, it’s due to having a tumor growing on his brain. It’s imperative for the the team of doctors to operate to remove the tumor; therefore, they will be in the hospital for a total of two weeks, to start. The first week will be to monitor his seizures, the second week, while they are still here in San Antonio they will be running Hunter through many hard and invasive tests. The doctors will do MRI’s, PET scans and other testing to ensure they do the procedure correctly the first time.
They will then head home after the two weeks, however, they will have to return to San Antonio once the surgery is scheduled to remove the tumor causing the seizures.
We don’t know how long surgery will be, how long he’ll have to stay in the hospital here in San Antonio or what recovery will look like. Which in turn means more days off for Nellie to ensure he recovers comfortably and completely.
Please, for a moment, imagine having the stress of watching your child suffer, try to figure out time off work, the financial burden this puts on the family as well as the emotional toll it is taking on her, her loving husband and other kiddos.
Prayers are essential and much appreciated. If you would like to donate any amount (no amount is too small). We will be forever grateful.
God bless you my family and friends
